NEWS | ZERO IMPORT DUTY OR U.K. VALUE ADDED TAX COSTS ON PYGA FRAMES

Great news for European Union Customers

The 31 December 2020 was the end date of the United Kingdom’s transition period and departure from the trading agreements of the European Union.

As PYGA Mountainbikes are designed and manufactured in South Africa but assembled, powder coated and stored in the U.K for distribution across Europe, PYGA would like to reassure E.U. based customers that there will be no effect on sales or distribution. In fact, it has never been easier to buy a PYGA!

As of Friday 8 January 2021, customers based in the E.U. can buy PYGA frames direct from pygamountainbikes.com excluding duty and U.K. value added tax (VAT)! As PYGA frames are handmade and manufactured in South Africa (and not the factories based in China and Taiwan etc. with typical 6.5% import duty from the Far East) frames imported into the Eurozone incur ZERO DUTY!

The order and delivery process is simple too with shipping to E.U. based customers beginning again on Monday 11  January 2021, via DHL or TNT.

All customers need to do is place an online order as normal then wait for a call from the parcel company. The parcel company will take care of the import documentation and will call to confirm delivery with the customer directly, all within a few days of order.

Customers will then receive an invoice for their local area/country tax via the parcel company. Once the invoice is paid, the PYGA will be delivered.

Simple! and a great start to the new year.
